At Telcare, it’s not just all about business telecom services! We want to make a positive impact – and not just on our clients – but we want to help our environment and the community!
We are proud to be ‘green’ and due to our many eco-friendly procedures have attained the internationally recognised ISO 14001 certification for environmental management (quite an achievement for smaller companies such as ours).
We are members of the Trees4Business Campaign. Run by Carbon Managers, this is a tree planting programme at Alladale Wilderness Reserve in the highlands of Scotland. The trees are planted by children from the Challenger Trust, who are often from disadvantaged backgrounds. Sir Ranulph Fiennes is patron of the Trust.
For every new customer, we plant a tree via the programme and issue them with a tree planting certificate. This gives the GPS reference of the tree planted in their name.
We support a number of charities, including Diabetes UK (through sponsored walks and merchandise); Charity Golf Days and bike rides for Cerebral Palsy; and Computers for Charities by donating unwanted useable equipment.
We often donate to local charities too, including Kidsafe as well as global ones – our last donation only a few weeks ago was to the DEC for the Haiti Earthquake Appeal.
We have been involved with work experience students from local schools as well as being involved in the Shell Step Programme, where an undergraduate is placed within the company to carry out a certain project.
We are patrons of Dartford Football Club and we regularly can be heard shouting from the sidelines!
